NWEA Remote Testing

Starting November 16th through December 15th, we will be conducting assessments for both in-person learners and at-home learners.  This will definitely be trickier than a normal year.  Here you will find directions, schedules, and testing names and passwords prior to the tests beginning.  The NWEA Map test requires both student and proctor interaction simultaneously, so it will be critical that at-home learners be attempting to take the test during their allotted window.  This assessment is required multiple times a year by the Colorado Charter School Institute (C.S.I.) to determine students progress in a variety of subjects.  Kindergarten and First Grade students will need to have either speakers or headphones/earbuds in place to listen to the tests.

Here is how it is going to work:
In-person students will be testing at the school at the same exact time at-home learners will be testing at home.  At-home learners will be given access information 15 minutes prior to the start of the test through the "Test Access" of this website.   At-home students  are asked to abide by the same rules as those taking it in-person and will need to read them on their own.  At the conclusion of the testing time, each student's test will automatically be disabled by the proctor.  It is important that we receive the most accurate data for each child as possible.

Accessing NWEA through different devices:
For students that have checked out a CSCA Chromebook, you can access the test by making sure the Chromebook is logged off but still turned on.  At the bottom left of the login screen you will click the "Apps" button, and then select "NWEA Secure Testing" in the list to launch the test software.

For at-home learners that are not on a CSCA ChromeBook you will need to open a web browser and then go to the following website to take the test: https://test.mapnwea.org/#/lockdown

If you have questions or issues please email me at kdolley@cscharter.org.  I most likely will not be able to respond to your questions that happen during the test due to me controlling the test; however, I will reach back out to you following the test window.
