 Building BEST at CSCA

B — Belonging

At CSCA, belonging begins with the belief that every student should be known, valued, and supported. Our close-knit school community allows teachers and staff to build meaningful relationships with students and families. We want children to feel safe, connected, and confident as they grow academically and personally.

E — Excellence

Excellence at CSCA means holding students to high expectations while giving them the support they need to succeed. We believe students are capable of doing hard things, developing strong habits, and taking pride in their work. Our classrooms emphasize academic rigor, clear instruction, responsibility, perseverance, and character.

S — Scholarship

Scholarship is at the heart of a CSCA education. Through a strong academic foundation and the Core Knowledge curriculum, students build background knowledge, vocabulary, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the world. Students are encouraged to ask thoughtful questions, think deeply, work carefully, and develop the habits of lifelong learners.

T — Tradition

Tradition connects our students, families, and staff to the values that make CSCA unique. We value time-honored practices that build discipline, pride, and a sense of shared identity, including uniforms, cursive handwriting, school assemblies, Core Virtues, family events, and meaningful celebrations throughout the year. These traditions help students understand that they are part of something larger than themselves.
